Shotguns

54 year old Randy Smith was arrested by the Fresno Police when a super soaker around his neck looked suspicious. The police were recently briefed on people turning toys into weapons. He turned the water gun into a "zip gun". Which means you can only fire one 20 gauge shell through it, before the gun breaks. It only cost about $30 to make the gun. And it is quite simple. He got some pluming supplies, the gun and the shell. The local gunsmith in Fresno tells us that "...they're relying on, maybe this will hold up (as in the plastic)... you could be putting a gun next to your head or you could be putting a grenade next to your head..."

JP Morgan Chase

JP Morgan Chase & Co. has increased it's losses by 50%. It lost another billion dollars after its two billion dollar last week. It underestimated its losses and took another huge hit. So what will the government due... it will regulate the banks more on what they can do with credit cards and debit cards. If people were smart they would buy stocks in chase and in turn when it goes up they can make money. This economy is not strong and big businesses can lose billions and still be okay. They are to big to fail. So should the government be able to regulate private/public companies?

Bullying... what would you do

If your son or daughter was being threatened in school, do you think he/she should defend herself and feel safe. Well Darnell Young, a 17-year old Arsenal Tech High School Student in Indianapolis, Indiana, was told by his mother to bring a stun gun to school to ward off his bullies. He says "they have been calling him racial slurs and gay slurs". They have also thrown rocks and bottles at him. He was suspended and is facing expulsion over this incident that occurred on April 16, 2012, because his school has a zero-tolerance weapons policy. So what would you do?

Prom

A senior at Gibson County High School, Texanna Edwards, was banned from going to her senior prom. She was banned for wearing a knee-length confederate flag dress. As she showed up at the dance, the principal told her it was "offensive and inappropriate". She stood by the door and kept recieving compliments about her dress and two african american girls went off on the principal. Do you think that wearing this type of dress is inappropriate or offensive?

Little League Heart Atttack

An 11 year old little league baseball player almost died on Monday night. He was up to bat in the game and there was an inside pitch that hit him square in the chest. The child quickly went into cardiac arrest and parents from both teams came running out to perform CPR. He was saved and was taken to the Albany, New York hosbital where he is making a full recovery. Paramedics say "this blunt force to the chest, just stops the heart". The doctors say the child will be safe and fine, and is in good care.

End of the World

Is the end of the world rapidly approaching, because if it is you better start preparing. You better start catching up to these people. They are going to be safe and comfortable in their brand new "doomsday bunkers". They might be a million dollars for half a floor, but they know they will be safe from anything and everything. They are built into a silo shape, underground, in Kansas. There are 7/14 floors. But who knows will the world end soon, or will it just be another 1 billion years until it happens... the world may never know.

Human remains found

Human remains were thought to be found in Texas; Hailey Dunn went missing more than a year ago. Police reported that they had found human remains one mile from Hailey’s moms ex boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. Adkins is the only person of interest at the time. When police investigated Adkins he had failed at completing three lie detectors. Hailey Dunn was the only person home in Colorado City during the time. During the investigation Adkins told a witness that killing a young girl was like “Killing a deer” which a hobby of Adkins. Billie Jean Dunn Hailey’s mother said that on the night of her daughter’s disappearance she and her boyfriend had take out $140 out of the ATM to by illegal narcotics that night.

Heroin.

A 52-year old Nigerian woman, Bola Adebisi, attempted to smuggle 5 pounds of heroin into the country. She swallowed 190 thumb sized pellets, totaling 5 pounds worth about $150,000. She was caught in the Dulles Int. Airport and beat the previous record of 4 pounds. Which occurred last year. Should people like this be in prison here or back at their home country. Where should they be imprisoned? I believe they should get a total punishment and combined both countries. At least she is a record holder...

Smarter than a kindergartener? or 1st grader?

Lori Ann Madison from Virginia is on her way to the national spelling bee in Washington DC. What's so amazing... she is only 6 years old. She beat out 21 other kids ranging from 6-14. She tells fox "It's hard to put into words really... but at the least I feel great," she is home schooled and will compete from May 29- June 1. She says her parents and memory are what helps her win. Her parents quiz her and she reads lists of words that could be in the spelling bees. She also doesn't judge kids by their ages she judges them on who they are and what kind of people they are. It would be amazing if she one as only a 6 year old.

Sharks!

A polish man named Jan Lisewski, attempted to kite surf across the red sea for the first time ever. He kite surfed across the Baltic Sea last year. He tried the treck, but it took him two whole days to make it 2/3 of the way. After the two days he was exhausted and was very thirsty. He was staying alive with the help of energy drinks, a little water, and 2 energy bars. He fended off the six-foot+ sharks with only a knife. He says "I was stabbing them in the eyes, the nose, and gills". At two days his kite suddenly delated and was stuck in the water. And he sent out a S.O.S. signal and it took the Saudi Arabian Coast Guard 40 hours to locate him. I know I wouldn't want to be stuck in the water for 40 hours.

Freedom

A US man is not granted his wish of freedom, when he and his family asked for him to be released and be able to go home and die in peace. The reason he wasn't granted his freedom was because he was convicted of helping Saddam Hussein in his regime. Federal Judge Nancy Edmunds said "she had no authority with making the decision". Prison officials say he might commit more crimes if he is released. He is dying of a terminal cancer and has only 4 months to live. He is 62 and has only served one year of his 46-month sentence.

Worlds Smallest

A man from Nepal says he the worlds shortest man. At just 22 inches long/tall, the size of an infant, asked Guiness Book of World Records to fly out and see if he really is. They don't exactly know when he stopped growing and he never asked any doctors. He doesn't eat much but he is still keeping a healthy diet. He is not married and is single, so if any of you good looking broads needs a boyfriend he is ready to mingle. He dropped out of highschool but is still decently smart. He will hold the record by 1.5 inches when they do indeed measure.

Lin Hermlin

The crowd chants M-V-P during his free throws, he has become a leader on his team with a perfect 5-0 record in the NBA, and he plays in BrookLIN at Madison Square Gardlin. Who is he? He is the Tebow of the NBA, Jeremy Lin, and he is one of the top scorers for anyone during their first 5 games. Jeremy Lin is averaging over 27 points a game and 40 min on the court. He went to school at harvard and got a business degree. He is a raising sensation, but can he keep it up. Like all great athletes, he is put to the test each and every day. But how long can he keep it up? I don't think he can put up that many points each and every game. I'll give him another 2-3 games to start to fall, and we won't hear from him again.

The government taking children???

Today 46 year old, New York nativeFausat Ogunbayo, is suing New York City and the Administation for Children's Services for "violating her family's civil rights". She says that they took her two kids from her and put them into bad foster homes for the last 3 years. The most interesting part of the story is she is suing for $900,000,000,000,000... that's right 900 trillion dollars, more than all the money in the world... The authorities claim that she was under the use of drugs and was hallucinating. They also went on to claim that they had near perfect attendance records and doing better in school. What do you think about this... should the govermnet be able to take your kids, without permission.

X-Games- FLIPS!!! EVERYWHERE

There was some history made late Saturday night when the first front-flip on a snowmobile and a perfect snowboard superpipe score by Shawn White. Heath Krisby the snowmobile driver who landed this trick says "I knew that I trained for this and I knew what to do." Krisby was the first person ever to land this extraordinary trick. People were worried about him when Hoyer, Krisby's competitor, attempted to make history with the fist double back-flip as well. But on his first attempt he fell off and broke his arm. To everyone's astonishment Krispy still wanted to compete. He wanted that gold medal as bad as anyone else, and that's what he got in the end. He nearly put up a perfect score with a 96.66 out of 100, but he had a hard landing. We will see more of this next winter games i believe, and I'll make a prediction now that next winter x-games someone will complete the double back-flip.

Obama's State of the Union Address

On January 24, 2012, Barrack Obama, President of the United States, addressed the nation on some very serious points. He told the nation how he is going to help fellow Americans with creating more jobs and tax cuts to most people. He wants America to be the best and that's what he is striving for. He wants exports to increase and imports to decrease. He wants to spend money getting rid of the debt that our country has. He wants us to be able to make our own energy or at least most of it, so we can be more independent. He wants to make 60,000 jobs a year by using natural gas. He wants the unemployed to become employed and make money. He needs Congress to help him though. And he knows that it could be his last state of the union address. But even if it is I know he is going to help America be the best country to live in whether he is president or not.

Packers lose in NFC Divisional to the Giants, 37-20

About a week ago many people would have said that the green bay packers are going to repeat. But much to their astonishment they were wrong. The Green Bay packers were the number one seed in the NFC and had the best record going into the playoffs. They had only lost one game the whole year in an remarkable upset by the Chiefs. Some would say that the game was all their own fault. Me being a Packer fan and all were at the game and was waiting to see a shootout until the end with an amazing win by the packers. But I was wrong. The packers fumbled the ball, dropped wide open passes, and had more blown coverages since the rose bowl. They were beaten by the New York Giants, a team that looked better and more sound that night. The packers lost the game 37-20. They only have themselves to blame, in this game. Hopefully next year with starting wide receiver, and pro bowler, Donald Driver they can go win another championship and add to the 13 world championship tally.
